Each day introduces a new side of northern Tanzania from the elephant country of Tarangire and the green forests of Lake Manyara to the sweeping Serengeti plains and the dramatic floor of the Ngorongoro Crater.

ARUSHA TO TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
DAY 01
Elephants Beneath the Baobabs
Your private safari begins in Arusha, where you meet your guide and travel south-west through the changing landscapes of northern Tanzania toward Tarangire National Park.
After entering the park, begin your first game drive among rolling savannah, seasonal wetlands and magnificent baobab trees. Tarangire is particularly celebrated for its elephants, which are often seen moving in close family groups or gathering near the river. The park also supports giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, lions and an impressive variety of birdlife.
Enjoy lunch during your safari and continue exploring before travelling to your selected lodge or tented camp for dinner and your first night in the wild.

DAY 02
LAKE MANYARA TO THE SERENGETI
From Forested Shores to Endless Plains
After breakfast, travel to Lake Manyara National Park for a morning game drive. Set beneath the dramatic Great Rift Valley escarpment, this compact park contains an extraordinary variety of habitats from groundwater forest and open grassland to acacia woodland and the lake’s seasonal shoreline.
Look for elephants moving quietly through the trees, troops of baboons, giraffes, buffaloes, hippos and abundant birdlife. When water conditions are suitable, flamingos may add a delicate ribbon of colour along the distant shoreline.
Continue through the Ngorongoro highlands and onward toward Serengeti National Park. As the road descends onto the open plains, the landscape expands dramatically. Enjoy wildlife viewing along the way before arriving at your lodge or tented camp for dinner.

SERENGETI TO THE NGORONGORO HIGHLANDS
DAY 03
Morning on the Endless Plains
Begin the day early, when the Serengeti is cool, peaceful and especially rewarding for wildlife viewing. Travel across the open plains in search of lions, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, cheetahs, hyenas and the great herds that move through this celebrated ecosystem.
Because your safari is private, your guide can respond to current wildlife activity and spend more time at the sightings that interest you most. Every drive is different, shaped by the season, the animals and the rhythms of the landscape.
After lunch and a final exploration of the Serengeti, travel toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The scenery gradually changes as the plains give way to the cooler, greener crater highlands. Arrive at your accommodation for dinner and a restful evening before the final day of your safari.

DAY 04
NGORONGORO CRATER TO ARUSHA
A Natural Sanctuary
After an early breakfast, travel to the crater rim and descend approximately 600 metres into the Ngorongoro Crater. Enclosed by towering walls, the crater floor supports an extraordinary concentration of wildlife within forests, wetlands and open grasslands.
During your game drive, search for lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos and, with good fortune, the endangered black rhinoceros. The combination of dramatic scenery and remarkable wildlife makes the crater a fitting conclusion to your northern Tanzania adventure.
Enjoy a picnic lunch before ascending from the crater and beginning the return journey to Arusha. Arrive in the late afternoon or early evening, where your safari concludes at your hotel or another agreed location.
