Welcome to Arusha
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where a Gepard representative will welcome you and transfer you privately to your accommodation in Arusha.
Relax after your flight and enjoy the surroundings at your own pace. Your guide will meet you for a personal briefing and discuss the adventure ahead.

DAY 02
ARUSHA TO THE NGORONGORO HIGHLANDS
Into the Highlands
After breakfast, meet your private driver-guide and begin travelling through the changing landscapes of northern Tanzania. Pass local communities, farmland and the lively town of Karatu as you approach the green Ngorongoro highlands.
The relaxed journey provides a gentle introduction to the region and time to become familiar with your guide. Depending on your interests and arrival time, an optional cultural experience, coffee visit or nature walk can be arranged near Karatu.
Arrive at your lodge, enjoy the cooler highland atmosphere and prepare for the following morning’s crater adventure.

NGORONGORO CRATER
DAY 03
A World Within a World
Begin early and descend approximately 600 metres into Ngorongoro Crater for a private game drive.
Explore open grassland, acacia forest, wetlands and freshwater pools while searching for lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, hyenas and black rhinoceroses.
Enjoy a picnic lunch surrounded by the dramatic crater walls before continuing your wildlife viewing. In the afternoon, ascend to the highlands and return to your lodge.

DAY 04
NGORONGORO TO THE EASTERN SERENGETI
Toward the Endless Plains
Leave the highlands and travel through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area toward Serengeti National Park.
Watch the landscape gradually open into immense grasslands as you enter one of the world’s most celebrated wilderness areas. Continue toward the eastern Serengeti, a beautiful region of open plains, acacia woodland and rocky kopjes.
Begin searching for cheetahs, lions and other wildlife before arriving at your selected camp or lodge.

EXPLORING THE EASTERN SERENGETI
DAY 05
In Big-Cat Country
Spend a full day exploring the eastern Serengeti with your private guide. The open terrain offers excellent visibility and rewarding opportunities to observe predators and plains wildlife.
Choose between an extended game drive with a picnic lunch or separate morning and afternoon drives with time to relax at camp during the warmer hours.
Your guide will plan the route around current wildlife activity, seasonal conditions and your photographic interests.

EASTERN TO CENTRAL SERENGETI
Across the Serengeti
Enjoy a final morning exploring the eastern plains before travelling toward the central Serengeti.
The journey itself becomes a game drive, passing through varied habitats where elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes and predators may be encountered.
Arrive in the central region and begin exploring the river valleys and open plains surrounding Seronera, an area known for dependable wildlife viewing throughout the year.

DAY 07
The Wilderness at Your Own Pace
Wake to the sounds of the Serengeti and begin a full day of private wildlife viewing. Your guide will shape the day around the sightings, landscapes and experiences that interest you most.
Search for lions around the kopjes, leopards along riverine woodland, cheetahs on the open plains and elephants moving between water and shade.
An optional sunrise hot-air balloon safari can be arranged in advance, followed by breakfast in the wilderness before rejoining your guide.

SERENGETI FLY-OUT AND DEPARTURE
One Final Morning in the Wild
Enjoy a final morning game drive before transferring to the nearest airstrip for your scheduled flight to Arusha or Kilimanjaro.
From the air, watch the Serengeti’s plains and Tanzania’s highlands unfold below you. Upon arrival, connect with your onward flight or transfer to a day room where arranged.
Your journey concludes with memories stretching from the floor of Ngorongoro Crater to the endless plains of the Serengeti.
